"A former top Indian military official today criticised the attitude of rich nations for being choosy in peacekeeping operations, which had caused the peace operations by the United Nations (UN) to be under severe stress.
"Though there are greater demands for mounting operations, the support for it from the developed world is lukewarm at best," Lt. Gen (Rtd) Satish Nambiar said in his welcoming remarks at the two-day Asean Regional Forum on UN Peacekeeping Challenges and Prospects being held in Delhi, today."
