The Guardian: Top al-Qaida suspect caught, US says

"The Pentagon today said it was holding one of al-Qaida's most senior and experienced operatives in custody in Guantánamo Bay following his capture in Iraq.
A spokesman said the man was Abd al-Hadi al-Iraqi, a paramilitary leader in Afghanistan in the late 1990s who also led effforts to attack US forces in the country from 2002-04."
