"Boris Yeltsin, Russia's first post- Soviet leader, was buried today to an artillery salute and the strains of the national anthem at a ceremony attended by former U.S. presidents Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush.
President Vladimir Putin and former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev joined mourners walking behind a gun carriage that carried Yeltsin's coffin to the Novodevichy cemetery in Moscow from the Christ the Savior Cathedral, state television showed in a live broadcast today. His casket was draped in the tricolor Russian flag and flanked by goose-stepping soldiers."
