Alex: I just watched the video (and saw Barack recently when he appeared in Maine before state's caucus). To my mind, he has a spectacular intuitive/political sense in regard to what issues to address and what to let pass, and how to tie in his campaign themes (e.g. mention of Christianity blunts rhetoric/claims some others would seek to attach to him in regard to his religious affiliation) within that effort. His most recent handling of the Chicago financial benefactor potential scandal also seems to be making the best out of what appears a potentially very bad situation. Give all the details earlier and his candidacy would likely be derailed. Wait later and he appears highly evasive (at a minimum).

Alex: If you read the article, I believe (unless the press overreacts to it) that it will help her more than it will hurt her. It sounds genuine, and more heartfelt (as opposed to formal) responses may be exactly what voters are waiting to see from Hillary.
When one is down you find it sometimes easier to see a person's true character. As mentioned, as it is described in the piece, it sounds good to me.

Alex: How long is Giuliani going to milk for political purposes the lives of deceased Americans (that's my view). I lived in and around NYC almost the entire time Giuliani was Mayor. In my opinion (don't get me started) his negatives far far outweighed his positives.
Well, we as a nation have most recently elected President Bush (who some feel is a warmonger) for the last two terms, so we'll see what we as a nation do next

Alex: Condemning this by world leaders, while not a bad thing, is largely ceremonial and even PR in regard to effect (i.e. there is no real effect).
I am a big believer in the rule of law. I don't believe in vengeance ("an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind") but I do very much believe in accountability. All persons of decency should speak out to insure that all others that might be responsible for this crime be apprehended and put behind bars. It is important that a full but appropriate response be found if we wish to create the type of world in which we really wish to live.
