State workers fail in bid to leave union (Maine) - Portland Press Herald
Excerpt:
"State workers who hoped to drop their affiliation with the Maine State Employees Association failed to gather enough signatures to complete the process.
The group, which calls itself Associated Government Employees of Maine, had until today to gather signatures from each bargaining unit they wanted to separate from the union. They needed at least 30 percent of the people in each unit to sign forms asking for an election."
