"The House Intelligence Committee today subpoenaed Jose Rodriguez, the former head of the CIA's clandestine service, as part of its probe of the agency's destruction of videotaped interrogations of terror suspects.
``We have been told that Mr. Rodriguez would like to tell his story, but his counsel has advised us that a subpoena would be necessary,'' Representative Silvestre Reyes, a Texas Democrat who is chairman of the panel, said in an e-mailed statement. ``We therefore have issued the subpoena.''"
